Islay | Scotland
We began our adventure to Europe by landing in Scotland after an all night flight. Trying to recover from the jet lag but being full of adrenaline to see all the new things ahead, we casually toured the town with our friends and settled into a little pub to enjoy some local cuisine. Off to rest for the next day we woke up early to take a ferry to the Island called Islay.
Islay. Home to some of the most world famous Scotch and some incredibly cute sheep. I would love to return to this little island every year.
As the ferry was pulling up to the island, you see the cute town nestled near the shore. We booked a small home in town through air B+B. From there we were able to walk along the country road to tour the different distilleries. There is something memorable about walking along that road next to the sheep with the sun setting in the distance. The smell of peat mixing with the brine of the sea in breeze.
