Kelly & Gian
May weddings in Saint Louis. Will it rain? Will it be too hot? Can anyone ever predict what the weather will do in the Midwest for a wedding? The forecast was terrible with dark thunderstorms all day. As I arrived at The Westin Hotel, located in downtown St Louis, where Kelly was getting ready, the clouds seemed to be disappearing into Illinois. A few dark threatening clouds popped up here and there throughout the day, but to my surprise, and despite all my planning for for some cool photos in the rain, we had sunny skies to work around! Oh Midwest weather, you are always a surprise.
A couple of years ago, we stayed at The Westin Hotel in Hilton Head for a destination engagment session. Ever since, The Westin has become my favorite hotel! As soon as you enter the building, the smell of white tea and eucalyptus pulls you into vacation mode and melts away the stress. I am always delighted to find out a bride and groom are working with The Westin for their wedding.
Kelly and Gian’s wedding style was colorful and fun, yet still luxe and timeless. Her Monique Lhuillier Wedding Dress and his Pronto Uomo Suit were the perfect match.
These Dolce & Gabbana heels take the cake.
Kelly and Gian opted for a “First Look” on their wedding day.
I always find it a privilege to document this incredible moment of a Bride and Groom’s life.
Even during overcast weather, Forest Park is always a good choice.
Can we just say how amazing Belli Fiori did with these flowers?!
The Missouri History Museum was the Saint Louis wedding venue chosen for both the ceremony and the reception.
This is such a unique and fun venue here in the Midwest.
These two are an adorable example of love. My hope is to dance at a wedding reception like them when we are their age!
The Cakery nailed it with this gold, ivory, turquoise wedding cake!
