Kayla & Jordan | NEO On Locust Wedding Reception
At the Omni Majestic, Kayla and her Bridesmaids sipped mimosas and prepared for the day’s events. Kayla was serene and secure in the knowledge that she would be marrying her best friend, Jordan.
At the UMSL Provincial Chapel, Jordan and his Groomsmen prepared in a not-so-dissimilar fashion. The rich dark woodwork and timeless impassive stone spoke of the history of the Chapel and lent to the depth of the impending Wedding ceremony. Bright warm sunlight like only July can bring poured into the sanctuary through massive windows.
Jordan excitedly stood waiting for his first glimpse of his Bride-to-be, feeling the eyes of all of their friends and family upon him. The processional music swelled in response to the Chapel doors beginning to open and Jordan, in-spite of any impossible preconceived ideas of how beautiful she would be, was completely stunned. Kayla walked toward him and he felt warm, almost overcome with emotion and only able to think to himself just how lucky he was. The ceremony was conducted by their dear friend, certified for just this occasion, adding a very personal touch to the moment.
Bridal Party photos at Forest Park, the same park where Jordan had proposed, were a blur of laughs and sunny beautiful weather.
The reception at NEO on Locust was gorgeous. Vintage details festooned the modern loft space, kitschy doors, unique candelabras, mason jars, twine, skeleton key favors, and a vintage suitcase to contain the cards of the many well-wishers.
The reception space filled with guests and Jordan and Kayla, after speeches, dances and drinks, wisely stole a few moments away just to try to grasp the immensity of love that they felt in those moments. Appreciating this crowd of people who had and no doubt would continue to support each of them separately and now together as Man and Wife. Basking as well in the confidence and love they had expressed and solemnified for each other, come what may.
As if every other wish had not been granted, NEO On Locust allowed us to take a few final shots from their rooftop overlooking the full panorama of Saint Louis. With a sparkler sendoff, Jordan and Kayla lit up the night, metaphoric of their incandescent future together.
When we shot Jordan and Kayla’s engagement session in the Soulard area of St Louis, view their engagement session here, we discussed all of their wedding plans. We knew then, this was going to be a gorgeous wedding. Kayla had everything planned to the smallest detail of what she wanted.
We are excited to announce Jordan and Kayla’s wedding at Neo On Locust had been featured on the oh so cute wedding blog, Storyboard Wedding.
