Ty & Alain | Windows On Washington Wedding Venue

This amazing couple from Miami, Florida decided to get married in St Louis, Missouri at a similarly amazing venue: Windows On Washington. The day started off getting ready quietly in a friend’s loft apartment off Washington Avenue. But as we all know, St Louis weather can bring beautiful rays of sun and then turn to dark stormy clouds in a flash. That is just the kind of day we found ourselves enjoying for Ty & Alain’s wedding.

Dark clouds began rolling in as Ty walked down the steps of Lafayette Park to see Alain for the first time. Their faces beamed with happiness as they walked towards each other , their friends cheering them from the bridge nearby. The laughs and happiness only grew throughout the day, even while dodging rain drops.

Ty & Alain opted for a “First Look” before the ceremony. This helped to ensure that there was sufficient time for their photos and allows for a more relaxed timeline for the day. Then everyone can have a little more time to enjoy the rest of the evening with friends and family. I am so happy they did…

Ty: “ A fantastic moment seeing my soon-to-be-husband all dressed up and ready to marry me.”

Alain: “The days leading up to the wedding flew by and my wedding day was here before I knew it. Time slowed down as I waited for Tyeshia by myself in the garden next to the pond. I could feel my excitement and anticipation building up. I didn’t even hear Ty call my name the when she first arrived. After I saw her in her stunning wedding dress, I could not wait to marry my best friend and spend the rest of my life with her.”

Windows On Washington had a perfect little nook for quiet moment just for the Bride and Groom right before the ceremony.

What was your most memorable moment?
Ty: “At the very end end of the ceremony Alain and I were alone for about 30 seconds. At that moment he grabbed me and gave me the most romantic “first kiss” as husband and wife. “
Alain : “Watching the bridal party dance as they were announced at the reception, and being introduced for the first time as Mr and Mrs Alain Marcelin. And then Dancing with MY beautiful bride.”

Advice for Brides-to-be:
Ty: “You do not have to be traditional by any means. Alain and I cut out everything that we thought was useless, boring, annoying..etc. Plan the ceremony and reception to your needs and no one elses. Do not sweat the little stuff because the wedding is for your family. THE HONEYMOON IS FOR YOU, so go somewhere amazing!”
Honeymoon: “FIJI -> Best Decision Ever!!!!!! It was the most amazing, magical, unbelievably romantic place in the world.”
