Homemade Coconut Milk Vitamix Recipe
I love using coconut milk as a base for my smoothie recipes. So, once I learned how easy it is to make in my Vitamix, I haven’t bought coconut milk from the store since. I love how fresh it is, there are no added preservatives and as an added bonus my kitchen smells glorious while I’m making it.
You will need:
Blender

Cheese Cloth
1 Cup Measuring Cup
1 Cup of Shredded Coconut
2 Cups of Hot Water
Cute Container to Store Coconut Milk
1. Place 1 cup of shredded coconut into blender. Add 1 cup of hot water. Blend for 2-3 minutes.
2. Pour mixture through cheese cloth, into container.
3. Take coconut shavings that are left in the cheese cloth and place back in blender. Add 1 cup of hot water. Blend for 2-3 minutes.
4. Pout mixture through cheese cloth, into container.
Done!
Sometimes I add vanilla to my finished coconut milk to change up the flavor a little. What do you like to add to yours?
