A country chic wedding in mid June.
I am still in love with the theme for this wedding. Soft pinks, champagnes with cowgirl boots, rustic barns and hay bales. A very “soft and romantic” day.
Everything fell into place beautifully. Although storms were forecasted for every hour of the wedding, unbelievably, we had sunny skies all day. A rush of dark clouds and cool air rolled in just as we were finishing photos before the reception. At that point the cool air was welcome as a break from the heat.

We are so thankful to Courtney & Ian and their family for asking us to document this beautiful day. There were many laughs and happy tears throughout the day and we were privileged to be involved.

And now for a few fun comments from the Bride & Groom:
How did you two meet?
We have known each other forever it feels like.
I am pretty sure I started liking him when I was about 10.
I never would have thought we would actually end up together!
How did he propose?
I do know that I have never been that surprised in my life. I genuinely thought that I would figure it out before he proposed. He was so sweet and he even teared up when asking me. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!!
What did you like most about your hair, shoes, dress?
I had a meltdown about my hair a couple days before the wedding. I thought it was going to frizz and look horrible. That day....I LOVED it. Simple, curly, and exactly how Ian loved it. My shoes were flats. My husband isn't the tallest man in the world. My dress....I literally felt like a princess. I wanted a fairytale wedding with a Cinderella dress. And that is exactly what I got :)
I love this quiet and sweet moment with the Bride & Groom, a prayer before the ceremony.
Groom/Bride : Tell us about the first moment you saw your Bride/Groom.
Ian: Wow, I didn't think she could be any more beautiful than she already was...but I was wrong. She took my breath away.
Courtney: I was just so happy. That was the moment it finally became real. I was marrying my best friend.
What was your vision for your wedding day? How did you make it personal?
Fairytale. That is what I wanted. One day to be a princess. I loved the bouquets. That was my favorite part. Those and the bouts were so different and soft.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
I remember walking to the limo after the ceremony. And it just seemed so surreal. And that is when I cried for the first time. A happy, overwhelmed cry. And after that....It was party time :)
How did you choose your venue?
Long story short....the first one we booked closed ;( But this one ended up being even better. Elegant. That was what I wanted. Classy.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. ~*~*~*
