They planned a simple ceremony near an appealing water feature, a beautiful plan despite the unplanned blistering cold winds.
When we met with Matt & Cheryl, they were worried that it would rain on their wedding day. The long-awaited week had seemed promising, just the day before we enjoyed sunny skies and a high of 55 degrees. However, weather in the mid-west does what it wants when it wants. Warm one day, thunder-snow the next etc.
Gusting winds, and a blast of arctic air hit the day of. Cheryl was amazing and braved the chilling breeze in her beautiful strapless gown, drawing Matt close as a shield against the wind and for a few moments of warmth. Despite the rude weather, it was still an exciting and happy day for our new couple.
